Do you have a passion for music and being creative?
North Kent Mind, along with the music students from the University of Kent and their lecturers, have created the Dockyard Sessions. These are two practical workshops on paper marbling and music making!
The sessions will be held at The University of Kent in the Clock Tower Lecture Theatre on May 18th, 25th and June 1st from 10:30am—12:30pm.
We’d like to thank Neill Wright and the Yorkshire Building Society, for their donation of one thousand pounds worth of gardening materials for our new Wellbeing Gardening Project.
The Yorkshire Building Society allows staff to nominate charities of their choice to receive a donation and Neill very kindly decided to nominate us, as it’s a charity that he can relate to due to some personal experiences he has encountered.
Neill and colleague Ryan Donnellon came to the North Kent Mind offices to visit the garden where the tools will be used!
We are extremely grateful for the support, and look forward to the Garden Project getting started with the weather warming up!
The Shoker family & friends have raised an amazing £11,500 for North Kent Mind.
Tragically one of their beloved family members, Amarjit Singh Shokar, took his own life late last year. Since this, the family have been committed to spreading awareness and raising money, to help support those struggling with mental health.
We had the pleasure of visiting them to hand over the cheque, as well as a plaque in memory of Amarjit, which will be kept in their family home.
Their bravery and dedication as a family is inspiring, and we thank them so much for their continued support.
They have been in connection with Kent Online to share their experience and raise awareness, you can find the article here:
