About the Opportunity
North Kent Mind is excited to offer two opportunities for CYP-PT Therapies Trainees (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) within our Children and Young People’s Service.
These posts form part of the NHS England-funded Children and Young People’s Psychological Training Programme (formerly CYP-IAPT Recruit to Train) and provide an opportunity to combine clinical practice with postgraduate study.
Successful candidates will complete the CYP-PT Therapies PGDip (CBT Pathway) at King’s College London while gaining practical experience delivering evidence-based interventions to children, young people and families experiencing common mental health difficulties.
Working within a supportive and values-driven service, trainees will receive specialist supervision throughout the training year and develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed to build a career in children and young people’s mental health services.
This is a unique opportunity to gain a recognised postgraduate qualification while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children, young people and families across Kent and Medway.
About You
Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will:
- Meet the entry requirements for the CYP-PT Therapies PGDip (CBT Pathway).
- Demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Be passionate about delivering accessible, evidence-based and person-centred support.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to balance academic study with clinical practice commitments.

The post will be based within North Kent Mind services; however, successful candidates will be required to attend teaching at King’s College London’s Denmark Hill Campus throughout the training year
