Dartford, Gravesham, and Swanley Voluntary Sector Alliance

The alliance supports local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, to link together and with organisations in other sectors, to work in collaboration to improve local health and wellbeing outcomes.

The alliance aims to ensure that the voice of the voluntary sector is heard and that communities are involved in shaping the delivery of services

North Kent Mind and CVS NWK work in partnership to organise and facilitate the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley (DGS) VCSE Health Alliance meetings. Their role is to galvanise the VCSE sector to take part, ensure they are represented and have a voice, engage closely with the local Health Care Partnership (HCP) and promote collaborative working

As well as being the DGS Voluntary Sector Alliance Lead Richard is also the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for North Kent Mind. He is passionate about supporting members of the local community through a diverse range of accessible health and social care resources. A firm believer in generous leadership, local collaboration, coproduction of resources, and embracing innovation.

Sarah Maybourne

Sarah has worked in the voluntary and community sector (VCSE) for over thirty years working in frontline delivery service roles, strategic leads and is also a trustee and director of several organisations across England and Scotland. She is passionate about the role of the VCSE sector in supporting local communities to live their lives to their full potential and works hard to help organisations to be effective, efficient and thrive through adversity, crisis and also in the good times!
