A new emotional wellbeing support service for children and young people in Medway, led by North Kent Mind and delivered in partnership with a range of specialist organisations.

This service brings partners together to provide a more joined-up and easier-to-navigate emotional wellbeing offer for children, young people and families.
The service sits within Medway’s iThrive Getting Advice and Getting Help support groupings and will offer a range of support from prevention and early intervention, through to short-term, goal-focused support, depending on the child or young person’s needs.

By bringing specialist partners together, the service aims to make it easier for children, young people and families to access the right support at the right time.
Who is it for?
The service is for:
- Children and young people aged 5–18 (inclusive of their 19th birthday)
- Young people up to 25 who have SEND or are care leavers
To access the service, the child or young person must:
Live in Medway, or
Be under Medway Local Authority care
Be registered with a Medway GP
Children and young people do not need to be attending school to receive support.

The service will offer a range of emotional wellbeing support for children and young people, with additional support for parents, carers and professionals to help strengthen the support around them.
We will also offer drop ins, workshops, and training for parents, carers and professionals to provide the knowledge to better support children and young people when difficulties arise.

North Kent Mind – Lead provider for the Medway Therapeutic Alliance, as well as providing emotional wellbeing and short-term therapeutic support.

Kooth – Free, confidential online emotional wellbeing support for children and young people.
BfB Labs (Lumi Nova) – A therapeutic game supporting children aged 7–12 with fears, worries and anxiety.
Oasis (BeYou Project) – Affirming support for LGBTQIA+ children and young people.
Young Lives Foundation – Mentoring, peer support groups and drop-ins for young people.
Salus – Structured mentoring programmes to support emotional wellbeing, resilience and coping skills.
CHUMS – Specialist bereavement support for children and young people.
